PEACH BOWL
About a week before the Peach Bowl, a former co worker of Warren's (that he has remained good friends with), called and asked if we wanted to go to the Peach Bowl. He had 2 extra tickets. We decided that Warren and Maggie would go! They left early Friday morning and got home Sunday afternoon. It was kinda weird being here by myself, but I enjoyed the quiet time. They had a great time together!

CHRISTMAS 2018
Christmas this year was great! We are so blessed and I do not take that for granted! Maggie asked for 3 things for Christmas...well really 4, but one of the requests was an immediate no...lol. An apple watch, a chrome book and a papasan chair. The 4th was a golf cart...lol. Santa came through with the watch, and each grandmother got the other 2. She was a happy little girl!
Christmas Eve morning we visited Warren's grandpa and great uncle. We don't see them as often as we should, but we had a great time with them!
We headed off to moms around 430 and did presents and had dinner.
The rest of the day Christmas Eve we spent at Warren's mom's. We always do appetizers and it's a fun change from traditional Christmas foods! We just love having the whole day to relax and enjoy being together.
On Christmas morning, we usually have to wake Maggie up super early so she can do her Santa stuff and then we hurry to to my moms around 8/830. This year my brother had to work until 4, so it was nice to be able to sleep in a little and enjoy a more slow paced morning!

PRE CHRISTMAS FUN
First off, YAY for Christmas break! Secondly, I can not believe that we are halfway through the school year! We wanted to take the kids to do something fun, so we decided on an over night trip to NOLA. We left as soon as the kids got out of school Friday, and made our way to The Lighting of the Oaks. We grabbed some hot chocolate and headed off to see all the pretty lights!
We stayed at the Hyatt directly across from the NOLA convention center, and it was so convenient. We needed to be able to sleep 15 comfortably, and the Hyatt did not disappoint! Saturday morning, we went for breakfast and then to the NOLA Christmas fest. The kids had a blast riding rides, ice skating and ice sliding. We had never been, and were a little unsure, but I am glad we gave it a try. We are thinking we will definitely be back next year!!
We always have a big group when we go places, and we could not love it more! If the guys would have tagged along, we would have had way more! We were actually missing about 6-8 more that are usually with our crew. Our kids range in age from 2-15 and it is such a blessing that the "big" kids still like hanging with us(they may not have much of a choice...lol). I love these people so much and I am truely blessed that we get to do life together.

THANKSGIVING BREAK
Thanksgiving break couldn't come fast enough this year. I hate wishing the time away and as a teacher, sometimes I feel like we make a bad habit out of that....always counting down the days until the next break. We missed Fall break this year due to being out 2 days for a hurricane. The last time we had a break from school was Labor Day. That is BIG and unless you work in education, you probably can't relate...lol. Anyways, we didn't have any big plans this year. Some years we travel and some years we just hang out at home. This year, we just hung out at home. We did take the kids to an amusement park about 2 hours away, OWA. They had a lot of fun. It's comparable to like Six Flags, but on a much smaller scale. We went with Warren's mom and sisters and nephew. It was a great day spent with family :)

FOOTBALL SEASON AND CHEER PICTURES
We have had a fun time this football season. Our 8th grade team was undefeated the entire season and made it to the playoffs. We lost a tough championship game, but we are super proud of all the football players and cheerleaders :) A few weeks after the season ended, we hired someone to take cheer pictures. They turned out super cute! We are now into basketball season...which I will admit, isn't nearly as fun, but it's part of the cheer package...lol!

FAIR AND HALLOWEEN
Surprisingly, we had a laid back October. Of course we had cheer and our normal weekly activities, but other than that, we make a couple trips to the fair and one night last minute, the kids talked us in to taking them to a haunted trail. We went and watched the boys' play football a few Friday nights and of course had our weekly Gator gatherings. They didn't really get into Halloween that much this year....just wanted to hang out and pass out candy. I'll take it though, they are always up for hanging with the adults as long as their little crew is together. And we don't really mind. We would rather them be with us than off somewhere else!
sweet girls watching the boys' play in the cold :)
Even the kids's are fans ;)
Fair fun

Halloween fun!
