PINKALICIOUS AND REPORT CARDS
Today was dress like a book character day at school...if you made your AR goal. Originally, Maggie chose to be Ariel. She has a fancy dress up gown that we bought before we went to Disney World last year. It almost drags the ground and it's pretty poofy. I talked to her about how she would probably not be comfortable and how hard it would be to go to the bathroom, etc so she said she wanted to be Pinkalicious. We already had pretty much everything we needed to put something together. I did buy a cute $5 cupcake shirt from Walmart for to wear though. She looked SUPER cute this morning! Don't believe me? Just take a look :)

In other news, Maggie made all O's on her very first report card! Extremely proud of her for this! This is equivalent to all A's. Years ago, all O's/A's in K-garten didn't really seem like a big deal. I mean, it was kinda glorified preschool. Lot's of arts and crafts, nap time, playtime, etc. Well, I am here to tell you that, that is NOT the case now. At least in our school district. Arts and crafts are few and far between, nap time is nonexistent, and playtime...well they still get some :). All of that being said, K-garten is not what it used to be. Don't get me wrong...it's NOT military school. The kids still get to do fun stuff...they have 2 recesses per day and do other fun things, but it's just different now. Maggie has a WONDERFUL teacher and we are so grateful for that. Maggie has taken really well to K-garten. On her report card, her teacher wrote..."Maggie is progressing above grade level in reading and writing and doing extremely well in all other areas." We are thrilled about this and proud beyond measure! Our sweet girl has worked very hard and her report card showed this!
