Way back around May we found out that Warren would be going to Hawaii for work. We quickly decided that Maggie and I would go out for a week during our fall break. We always wait to book "work" trips until Warren's flight to the destination has been booked, just in case something changes. We booked our flights back in late July/early August and felt like it was ages away. Time quickly approached, and we found ourselves saying...I can't believe we leave for Hawaii in a week! Our week in Hawaii felt short, but we had a blast! We were on the go pretty much the entire time, but were able to fit in a lot of activities!
We left Mississippi at 3:30 last Saturday morning to catch our 6:20 flight out of Mobile to Houston. From Houston, we flew non stop to Hawaii. Boy was it a LONG flight! We were So glad to get to Hawaii and Warren was waiting for is with leis.
From the Honolulu airport, we headed to Kailua to stay with one of Warren's best friends from the Coast Guard. Maggie and I were exhausted, so we ended up napping from 5:30-8:30. We woke up, ate dinner and then went back to sleep around 10. At that was a wrap for Hawaii, day 1!
